Coming Back Home (Maigo, Lanao del Norte,Mindanao)

When I went back to my hometown for a vacation to visit my grandparents, I was thinking of creating a blog for this place. It's been 4 years since I left this hometown and I really wonder what this place would look like. When I was at the airport I have these mixed feelings. I feel so excited to see my place and my family but at the same time I feel so scared because I remember the bus bombing happened 2 months ago in Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte where in one of my relatives has been killed. Despite of these feelings my excitement conquer all those fears. Here are some of the pictures taken during my trip:

You need to ride this tricycle upon arriving in the airport to the pier.

This crab catch my eyes, looks yummy.. Isn't it?

You need to ride this barge from Ozamis City to Mucas.

This is the view upon docking to Mucas your gateway to Lanao del Norte when you are from Ozamis City.

Some of the scenery I found on my way to Maigo. A lot of greens...

This is the Maigo Plaza after 4 years nothing has change except that they added a CR in front of the Tennis court.
If you where in Lanao del Norte, your vacation would not be complete without visiting this freezing cold swimming pool in Timoga.
When it comes to "pasalubong" nothing beats Cheding's. The famous peanut provider in town.
Some of the sea foods and vegetables that I tried, aside from being so yummy and fresh these are so cheap too.

With my beloved grandparents.
My four days vacation is worth enough to escape from tremendous and tiring computer works, unforgiving life style in the city, and rat race pace of life.

Inhaling fresh air is a luxurious thing to be experience and hearing the flashing of the waves off the shore is so wonderful to see. It's a God's gift that I came from a place where we called BUKID at the seashore.
